Rayan Alaeddine

Rayan is a fieldworker and junior researcher at Public Works Studio, a research-based organization that addresses spatial inequality and urban issues in Lebanon. She is currently working on various research projects related to public properties and public housing. She is also involved in monitoring cases of housing vulnerabilities and eviction threats in different Lebanese regions, while supporting the residents to develop their ability and consciousness in influencing policies and claiming their right to the city and to housing. Rayan is a civil engineer holding a master’s degree in public works and road planning from the Lebanese University (2019), and a dual master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Lille-France and the Lebanese University (2021).ريان باحثة وعاملة ميدانية في استوديو أشغال عامّة، وهو مؤسسة للأبحاث والمناصرة تتناول قضايا العمران والعدالة المكانية في لبنان. تعمل ريان حاليًا على مشاريع بحثية متنوعّة مرتبطة بالأملاك العامة و مشاريع الدولة السكنية . كما تشارك في رصد حالات الهشاشة السكنية والتهديدات بالإخلاء في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، مع دعم السكان لتطوير قدراتهم ووعيهم في التأثير على السياسات والمطالبة بحقهم في المدينة والسكن. ريان مهندسة مدنية حاصلة على ماجستير أشغال عامة وتخطيط طرقات من الجامعة اللبنانية (2019)، وماجستير في الهندسة الجيوتقنية عبر برنامج مزدوج بين جامعة ليل في فرنسا والجامعة اللبنانية.
