Dr. Nuha Eltinay is a Senior Urban Resilience and Climate Adaptation Officer at ICLEI European Secretariat, worked previously as a Senior Urban Specialist at the World Bank for the MENA Region, Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice, and supported the UNDRR Office in the training and implementation of the DRR and Climate Change Comprehensive Risk Management program in the Arab Region. Receiving her PhD in Urban Resilience from London South Bank University, and MSc from University of Westminster in International Planning and Sustainable Development, Nuha held the position of the Director of Urban Planning and Sustainable Development at the Arab Urban Development Institute (Regional NGO), and worked closely with local governments in developing their risk governance strategies and resilience action plans as part of the Disaster Resilience Scorecard assessments in 25 Arab cities. Nuha has been highly active in publishing research and advocating for building coherence between the 2015-2030 Global Agendas, with special interest in embedding inclusive community led participatory planning approach and co-design solutions into climate change policy in the most fragile settings, leaving no one behind.
