Engineer Khaled Saddik is the Chairman of the Board of the Urban Development Fund (formerly the Informal Settlements Development Fund) which is affiliated to the Egyptian cabinet. He is responsible for setting the strategies and policies for the UDF and leading its team in the implementation and supervision of urban development projects on the national level. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and military sciences from the civil department of the Military Technical College in Egypt. He specialized more than 30 years in supervising the planning and the implementation of housing, commercial and public projects as well as roads and infrastructure networks. In addition, he led the former Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF) in the realization of its projects with exemplary leadership in public participation processes, and problem-solving mechanisms.
