Jawad Dukhgan is an architect, researcher, and curator based in Amman. In 2013 he joined Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation Studio-X Amman, a regional platform for programming and research in architecture and urbanism run by Columbia GSAPP in New York. As co-director of Studio-X Amman, he worked closely on developing and leading research projects and public programs on architecture, urban planning and design in the Arab region by developing workshops, conferences, lectures, exhibitions, public programs and research initiatives with a particular interest in water infrastructures, climate change, refugees and displacement. His work was exhibited at the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture in Shenzhen, [China]in 2016, in Bari, Planar Gallery titled Lessons of a City [Italy] in 2017, and the Venice Biennale 2018 [Italy]. Currently, Jawad Dukhgan holds the position of the National Project Manager for the Climate Change project at UN-Habitat Jorda
